Your happiness or happenstance is tied to what is, is not, or may be. You do not know if your future will match your current reality. However, you should know that God is always in control. We as humans are flawed. We can cling to the embrace of our ways so hard that it becomes a fatal flaw, opening the door of our lives to whatever dares to enter, so long as it is prefaced with the promise of MORE. You and I can see underneath a thinly present veil. Although we pretend to be unaware of its content.
In constant flux-thoughts compounding-mentally pacing, the mind enjoys no rest. You long for what you cannot see before you. LOVE-never in your control, but always within reach. LOVE-you take Him for granted. GOD is LOVE. It is He, whom your soul eternally longs. In our activities of the day we work with all diligence to fill in the empty places. And yet is leads to Doubts/Brokenness/Financial Setbacks/Self-Defeating Mantras & Personal Sabotage.
Trying to replace GOD is a futile exercise that leads to spiritual and physical death
1When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.” 2 Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. 4 He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.” 5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.” (Exodus 32:1-5)
There is a spy in the midst, an enemy in the camp and that person looks a lot like you.
33 The Lord replied to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. 34 Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin.” 35 And the Lord struck the people with a plague because of what they did with the calf Aaron had made. (Exodus 32:33-35)
The golden calf was a worldly and misperceived benefit with no eternal value. What is it that resides in GOD’s seat for you? The activities of the day can offer no more than temporal satisfaction. The precedent of things short-circuits our relationship with GOD and each other. In their very essence they are an assault on your liberties and freedom. Unlock your mind and be free of worldly substitutes. For the ONE TRUE GOD is calling out to you. “Then the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for Your servant is listening.” ( 1 Samuel 3:10) Make the choice like Samuel to hear what the great I AM is saying to you TODAY.
